We believe in “Honesty”: Scrupulous with regard to telling the truth and acting without stealing, fraud or breach of laws.
Doing Business with Integrity
What does doing business with integrity mean to us - being both fair and respectful, negotiating a square deal with mutual interests in mind, investing in people and long-term mutually beneficial outcomes rather than projects, following through on promises, and delivering the highest quality service every time.
You may have heard or read that Integrity simply means a willingness not to violate one’s identity. We agree, and add that one's own identity must contain moral fiber; the capacity to do what is right, no matter what the circumstance.
Being professional, effective, and profitable is not enough. We strive to maintain the highest standards of integrity in all of our dealings.
The 10 principles below are taken from James Owen’s book Cowboy Ethics which resonates with our business values.
Live each day with courage.
Take pride in your work.
Always finish what you start.
Do what has to be done.
Be tough, but fair.
When you make a promise, keep it.
Ride for the brand.
Talk less and say more.
Remember that some things aren’t for sale.
Know where to draw the line.
Integrity6 strives everyday to follow these principles.
When it comes to integrity, it’s a matter of deciding up front what you are and are not prepared to do. If you want your behavior to be a source of inspiration for your family, friends and children, to continue to earn and deserve the respect of friends, colleagues, competitors, and clients, and go to sleep at night knowing you’ve done right by the people around you, then it pays to make a commitment to living a life of integrity, based on lasting principles. Because, ultimately, you will not be known by your abilities, you will be known by the choices you make (picked up from a Harry Potter movie).
Raising the bar
Integrating integrity in business does more than just make Integrity6 efficient and stable. It also raises the general standard by which all companies operate. The integrity in our business that keeps employee and customer retention high forces other companies to reevaluate their own ways of doing business — failure to do this might mean their inability to succeed. We wish to let competition flourish, this is how everyone improves and benefits. Integrity leadership can transform the way business is done.
Quotes we like
"Though negotiations are a rough game, you should never allow them to become a dirty game. Once you've agreed to a deal, don't back out of it unless the other party fails to deliver as promised. Your handshake is your bond. As far as I'm concerned, a handshake is worth more than a signed contract. As an entrepreneur, a reputation for integrity is your most valuable commodity. If you try to put something over on someone, it will come back to haunt you." — Victor Kiam
